At Saint Thomas we know that learning and sharing is an
important part of spiritual growth. We offer numerous opportunities
for education and fellowship for all ages.
- Adult Discussion Group: Following the Sunday
Morning Service
- This consists of informal study and discussion based on the Lectionary
of the day. It is a very informal, yet lively discussion group. The classes are held after the Sunday service from
10:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
The group does not meet from the end of May through early
September. This group is currently not meeting.
- Adult Education Programs: Weekdays - These
include a women's study group run by our local chapter of Daughters of
the King, and various small home-based group sessions. Contact the church
office for further information.
- Weekday Services - We hold
a Wednesday evening service of either Evening Prayer or Compline, that
also includes offering special prayer and healing for those with a
physical or spiritual need. It provides a time spiritual
refreshment and a break from our hectic lives in the middle of the week
- Inquirer's / Confirmation Classes - Inquirers
Classes are designed for those individuals coming into the Episcopal
Church from other denominations and who may wish to be confirmed or
received into the Episcopal Church. They can also be taken by
anyone who is simply interested in learning more about the Episcopal
Church. Topics covered include not only our theology
but the history, customs, and traditions of the Episcopal Church, and a
brief history of our parish.. These
classes, along with Youth Confirmation classes are usually scheduled in the
spring of each year. Contact our Priest or our Verger for further information.
- Special Education Programs -
During the year we hold various studies and discussions such as our
Lenten and Advent services and programs, as well as special workshops
sponsored by the ECW and Daughters of the King.
